Our clients’ team are a dedicated crew of experts that provide a tailored service for their shipping clients. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of logistic services from overseeing ships movements, to managing documentation and delivering exceptional services. You will be a key cog in a fast turning wheel where no two days are the same.
The Role:
– Ensure vessels meet all documentation requirements
– Create vessel schedules and communicate movements to all parties
– Liaise with sub-agents regarding progress and any issues
– Provide effective solutions to challenges and obstacles
– Organise documentation for signing
– Assist with any damage reports/breakdowns and liaise regarding repairs
– Communicate with Pilots, Customs Fumigators, Stevedores, and other services to ensure smooth arrival, operations and departure through NZ ports
– Submit documents to authorities
– Follow and update vessel checklist
– Collate and check manifests, final figures, stow plan, Bs/L etc
– Monitor and reply appropriately to operational e-mails from various parties
About You:
– Previous scheduling, administration and documentation experience
– Proven ability working in fast paced, high volume environment
– Resourceful, self-managing and forward thinking
– Skilled communicator capable of establishing strong relationships across diverse audiences
– Precise and detail-oriented, committed to thoroughness and quality checks
– Talent for working efficiently under stress and shifting priorities as needed
– Proficient in using MS Office suite and ability to learn new technology
– Shipping experience an advantage but not a pre-requisite
