Manager – Engagement & Communications 

  • 30 hours per week, some flexibility/wfh/some travel required

A key role working within an Association based organisation to create and strengthen engagement and connection with members at the heart of this group.

 About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Engagement & Communications expert that reports to the Chief Executive and who will work collaboratively amongst a small team bringing their communications strategy to life. Contribute to the annual business plan and budget whilst providing reporting and insights to Management and the Board. 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Engage Stakeholders: Building strong relationships with Key Stakeholders across the various Associations, Members, Boards, Executives, Sponsors and Government Agencies
  • Deliver the Strategy: Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s strategy reflective of set goals and key objectives
  • Create Communications: Manage communications whilst producing clear and engaging content effectively aligned to specific audiences
  • Measure Results: monitor, evaluate and report on outcomes across member engagement and communications
  • Implement Initiatives: identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration and support member engagement, satisfaction and retention
  • Event Delivery: Plan and execute events, forums and workshops, support collective advocacy and facilitate knowledge exchange across Associations

What You will Offer:

  • 3-5 years’ senior communications and engagement experience, ideally in membership or association industry organisations
  • Proven track record in engaging stakeholders such as government, media, industry bodies and members
  • Naturally driven to achieve success, work through challenges, think on your feet, ambitious with a vision to improve the status quo
  • Ability to create compelling information, demonstrate writing flair and delivery of  audience-focused messages
  • Digital fluency and confidence using data, analytics, and insights to shape communications and measure impact
  • Creative skill in design and content creation; Canva, Adobe Suite or similar
  • Ideally (but not essential) experience working in an industry/membership association, not-for-profit or peak body environment
